An Intimate Ceremony on Tybee Island
This destination wedding in Tybee Island and Savannah, Georgia started with a little rain and turned into quite an adventure! Both the bride and groom arrived at St. Michael Catholic Church on Tybee Island carrying umbrellas, setting the tone for a wedding day that was definitely going to be memorable. The ceremony was intimate and touching, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a beautiful moment to slow down and focus on what the day was really about: the two of them, their vows, and starting this new chapter together. And then the weather really decided to join the celebration.
From a Stormy Drive to a Romantic Savannah Reception
After the ceremony, we headed from Tybee Island to Savannah, and that drive turned into a real adventure. The rain was absolutely pouring, the water was getting high, and the storm made its presence very clear. It was one of those wedding days where you simply embrace whatever happens and keep going. When we finally arrived at the Charles H. Morris Center at Trustees' Garden, everything felt completely different. The historic venue, with its exposed brick walls and beautiful old architecture, created such a charming and romantic atmosphere for the rest of the day. Since the weather wasn't cooperating outside, we made the most of the venue and photographed all of their newlywed portraits indoors. The textured brick, historic details, and soft light gave the photos a timeless, editorial feel. Then it was time to celebrate. The reception was warm and relaxed, with heartfelt toasts, good food, lots of laughter, and plenty of dancing.
