A Little Romance, a Little Red Light, and Lots of Fun
This Montrose engagement session was such a fun one! We spent the day wandering around the neighborhood with this couple, finding all kinds of little spots that gave their photos a relaxed, urban, and romantic feel. We started around the romantic streets of Montrose, taking our time, exploring, laughing, and capturing those in between moments that happen naturally when two people are simply enjoying being together. Then we headed to Boheme Bar, where the red lights added a little drama and a totally different mood to the session. The cozy atmosphere and moody light made for some seriously fun portraits, and we loved the contrast with the bright Houston streets outside.
Dancing at Avant Garden
From there, we made our way to Avant Garden, one of those Houston spots that is almost impossible to photograph without having fun. With its eclectic atmosphere, vintage details, and colorful character, it was the perfect place to let the session get a little more playful. And yes, there was dancing! These two were completely into it, laughing, moving, and enjoying every minute. Those are some of our favorite engagement photos to make because they don't feel like a photo session at all. They feel like the couple simply having a great day together.
Montrose gave us the perfect mix of romance, city energy, moody bar light, and a little bit of dancing, and these two brought all the personality we could have asked for. What a fun day!
