A Peaceful Summer Morning Full of Light, Laughter & Love
The Gerald D. Hines Waterwall, a 64-foot-tall semi-circular fountain in Waterwall Park in Galleria Houston is one of the city’s most iconic engagement photo locations—and for good reason. The towering water feature, the symmetry, and the dramatic architecture make it a favorite spot for couples and photographers alike. But there’s one thing you can always count on: crowds. That’s why we were so excited when this couple agreed to meet us early on a hot July morning. We arrived at 9 a.m. and were instantly reminded why morning sessions can be pure magic. The light was soft and golden, the air had a slight breeze, and to our surprise, we had the entire space to ourselves! This couple brought all the energy—twirling, dancing, laughing—and the joy between them was contagious. The early morning quiet gave us the perfect opportunity to focus completely on their connection without distractions. The waterfall mist, open plaza, and surrounding trees added just the right amount of movement and texture to the shots. Whether you're planning a Houston engagement session in the summer or just love the look of clean, bright, and intimate portraits, early morning at Waterwall Park is a total win.
