A Beautiful Wedding Between Lockdowns
This wedding at Butler’s Courtyard in League City, TX was one we’ll never forget. It was a COVID wedding, squeezed into that strange little window between lockdowns, when everyone was just so happy to be together and celebrate. Butler’s Courtyard was such a great choice for the day because it has a wonderful mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. We could move between the gardens, courtyard, and ballroom while still keeping everything feeling connected. We started with the bride and groom getting ready separately. The bride is a talented crafter, and she put so much of her own creativity into the wedding details. There were handmade decorations and thoughtful little touches everywhere, which made the celebration feel incredibly personal. The first look was by the romantic bridge on the property. From there, we explored the grounds for portraits, taking advantage of the soft sunlight and pretty outdoor spaces. We also headed inside for some more romantic portraits beneath the beautiful crystal chandeliers in the ballroom.
A Sweet Ceremony and a Reception Full of Dancing
The outdoor ceremony was sweet and intimate, surrounded by their closest family and friends. After the “I do’s,” we took some fun wedding party portraits before everyone headed inside for the reception. And this is where these two really came alive! The bride and groom are both amazing dancers, and once the music started, they basically did not stop dancing for the rest of the night. The dance floor was full of energy, laughter, and some seriously impressive moves. After everything they had been through to get to this day, seeing everyone finally together and celebrating was pretty special. We wrapped up the night with a classic rice toss exit, and it was every bit as fun and chaotic as you’d hope. Rice flying everywhere, everyone cheering, and the newlyweds laughing their way through it made for the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable wedding day. Despite the challenges of getting married during COVID, this celebration was full of creativity, joy, and so much love. And honestly, that’s what made it magnetic.
