A Beautiful Hill Country Escape
It was so nice to get out of the city and spend the day photographing this beautiful Hill Country wedding at Gruene Estate in New Braunfels, TX. The setting was absolutely gorgeous, with wide open views, rustic architecture, and that relaxed Hill Country feeling we love. We started with the bridal preparations, and there was already plenty of laughter happening. The bride and groom had so much fun with their wedding party, which made it easy to capture all those playful, candid moments before the ceremony. One of our favorite moments was the father and bride first look. It was sweet, emotional, and full of genuine tears.
A Modern Rustic Chapel and a Night of Celebration
The ceremony took place in Gruene Estate’s amazing modern rustic chapel. With no traditional walls, the space feels completely open to the surrounding landscape, while the beautiful stained glass added a soft, colorful glow to the ceremony. After the vows, we explored the property for portraits around the chapel and by the barn. The rustic textures, open landscape, and beautiful afternoon light were perfect for romantic wedding photos. And then came one of the most fun parts of the day: carousel photos with the wedding party! There was plenty of laughter and a little bit of chaos, exactly what you want from wedding party photos. The reception took place in the open air barn, where everyone gathered for cake cutting, the first dance, dinner, and plenty of celebrating. After the first dance, we stole the newlyweds away for some nighttime portraits. The quiet evening atmosphere gave us a completely different look and a few beautiful, romantic moments together. We finished the night with a sparkler exit, with the newlyweds surrounded by friends and family as they made their way through a tunnel of sparkling lights.
This Gruene Estate wedding was full of warmth, personality, beautiful Hill Country scenery, and so much joy. A pretty perfect way to celebrate love in New Braunfels.
