A Fashion-Forward Couple Session with Art, Architecture, and Timeless Vibes
I absolutely loved everything about this anniversary engagement session in Houston’s Menil Park and around the Rothko Chapel. This couple showed up with amazing style—and that black and white polka dot maxi dress? Total perfection. It felt so right in a place surrounded by art, quiet beauty, and timeless design. We started near the Menil Collection building, where the clean lines and soft light made the perfect setting for relaxed, editorial-style portraits. From there, we wandered over to the Drawing Institute and stopped under the shade of a gorgeous old live oak—classic Houston charm with a bit of drama from those wide branches. The final part of the session was at the Rothko Chapel, where the couple stood by the reflecting pool and the Broken Obelisk sculpture. It’s one of those peaceful spots that carries a lot of quiet emotion, and it gave the session a really meaningful, serene ending. Their connection, the soft movement of her dress, and the setting all came together in such an effortlessly beautiful way.
