This sweet celebration at The Beauty and The Beach Lighthouse in Crystall Beach near Galveston, TX, was full of heartfelt details, golden light, and relaxed, joyful vibes. The bride wore her mother’s wedding dress for the ceremony, which added such a meaningful, vintage touch. She and the groom shared a romantic First Look on the balcony, overlooking the ocean—the perfect quiet moment before the festivities began. As the waves rolled in and the sea breeze picked up, we took some portraits with just the two of them. That ocean view never gets old, and the love between these two was magic to capture.
Sunset Ceremony and Joyful Reception
The wedding ceremony took place in the gazebo right by the beach. It was simple, emotional, and so romantic. After the “I do’s,” we took wedding party portraits with the ocean as the backdrop—one of the many perks of being a beach wedding photographer in Galveston! For the reception, the bride changed into a more relaxed dress and kicked off her shoes—yes, she was barefoot during our sunset beach portraits, and it was everything. The light was soft, the sand was warm, and the candid moments we captured were some of my favorites from the day. Their first dance under string lights was so dreamy. And just when we thought it couldn’t get sweeter, the groom surprised everyone by performing a song he wrote just for his bride. That’s the kind of moment that reminds me why I love documenting wedding stories. After some dancing, the couple shared a slice of their small chocolate wedding cake, followed by a private last dance, their guests sent them off with smiles and cheers, and it was the perfect ending to a beautiful, relaxed beach wedding.
