From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the architecture—Belgian bricks, hand-cut Texas sandstone, and original oak floors that tell stories of another era. It felt like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of history.
Intimate Moments and Timeless Elegance
One of our favorite things about this day was that the bride and groom got ready together. It created such a calm and connected vibe from the very beginning, and we loved capturing the quiet, joyful moments they shared before the celebration began. We took portraits both outside in front of the stunning building and inside its richly decorated rooms. Every detail inside Open Gates is thoughtfully curated, from Louis XV-style furnishings to Tiffany & Co. clocks. The sideboard in the dining room, designed specifically for the space, is a work of art in itself. And the warm wood tones, vintage lighting, and antique pieces made for timeless, elegant photo backdrops. The ceremony was deeply meaningful and intimate, with loved ones gathered to witness the couple's vows in such a beautiful setting. After a delicious dinner, the couple cut their cake in the light-filled solarium, where a gorgeous Moorish-style lamp from Spain added an extra special touch. And then—it was time to dance! The energy completely shifted into celebration mode. Laughter, music, and joyful moves filled the space, and it was such a blast to document.
