We had such a great time capturing Nissa and Jay’s early afternoon wedding at The Orchard at Caney Creek—a dreamy 36-acre pecan orchard in Wharton, TX. This venue is a favorite for couples looking for a rustic wedding venue with natural charm and relaxed elegance. From the moment we arrived, we knew this celebration would be full of good energy and happy moments. Getting ready was full of laughter, and we loved that the bride had a walkie-talkie in hand to keep everything running smoothly. It was such a fun touch—and honestly, very effective! Their first look by the pond was one of the sweetest moments of the day. You could feel how emotional and meaningful it was for them, and we were so honored to capture it. After that, we strolled around the orchard for some bride & groom portraits—the pecan trees made the perfect romantic setting.

Since it was a pretty warm Texas day, the ceremony was held indoors. The space was beautifully decorated with soft florals and elegant touches, creating a cozy, intimate vibe as the couple exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family. The reception was super laid-back and personal—just how the couple wanted it. Instead of a strict timeline, Nissa and Jay spent time chatting with guests, laughing, and enjoying the afternoon. One of the funniest and most memorable parts? Someone accidentally dropped the wedding cake! But instead of stressing, the bride and groom just laughed it off and kept the good vibes going.
