We recently had the joy of capturing a beautiful and elegant wedding in the heart of Houston, starting at the stylish JW Marriott Houston Downtown. The day began with laughter, music, and the buzz of excitement in the bridal suite, where the bride and her crew got ready with the help of amazing hair and makeup artists. One of the most touching moments of the day was the couple’s emotional first look in the historic Carter Boardroom. Built in 1910, the room features incredible original craftsmanship and old-world charm—perfect for a few romantic portraits before the ceremony. The lighting, the mood, and the intimacy of the moment made it one of our favorite parts of the day to photograph.
Rooftop Ceremony and Dreamy Sunset Portraits
The ceremony took place at Strato 550, a stunning rooftop wedding venue with sweeping views of downtown Houston. As the couple exchanged vows, the wind danced around them, giving the entire scene a romantic, cinematic feel. Later in the evening, we returned to the rooftop for a sunset photo session. A soft fog rolled in, adding a dreamy vibe to the city skyline and creating the perfect setting for some truly magical portraits of the newlyweds. Check out our selection of this beautiful wedding.
