We recently had the honor of capturing a truly special bridal session at The Oak Atelier in Conroe, TX—with none other than Laurel Johnson, the unforgettable runner-up of Survivor: Ghost Island. It was such a joy photographing and filming her just before her big day, and this session was filled with beauty, excitement, and that magical pre-wedding glow. We were already big fans of The Oak Atelier from an unforgettable elopement we shot there couple months ago which was later published and you can check it out HERE, so we knew it would be a perfect fit for Laurel’s bridal portraits. Tucked among the pine trees, this venue has a peaceful elegance and so many beautiful settings for photos—from its charming main house with multiple studio rooms to the show-stopping all-glass greenroom that’s full of soft natural light. Laurel looked absolutely stunning in every corner we explored. We captured editorial-style portraits in the classic white studio and took advantage of the venue’s serene outdoor space—including the pool area, which added a luxurious, cinematic touch to the session. The light, the mood, and Laurel’s incredible energy made this shoot one to remember. We’re so excited for her wedding day and can’t wait to continue telling her story through our lens.
