Timeless Romance at Houston’s Historic 1910 Harris County Courthouse
There’s something truly magical about elopements—the quiet intimacy, the pure emotion, and just the two of you soaking it all in. This dreamy elopement in downtown Houston hit all the right notes, and we feel so lucky to have captured it. The couple said “I do” on the steps of the 1910 Harris County Courthouse, one of Houston’s most iconic historic buildings. Between the towering columns and that gorgeous pink Texas granite, it looked straight out of a classic movie. As Houston elopement photographer, I couldn’t ask for a more photogenic spot—it was elegant, timeless, and totally romantic. After a short and heartfelt ceremony, we stuck around for some courthouse wedding portraits. Every angle of the building offered something stunning: architectural lines, dramatic steps, and that soft city light. It was the perfect blend of urban charm and vintage elegance.
Natural Beauty Meets Urban Charm at Buffalo Bayou Park
Next, we made our way to Buffalo Bayou Park, one of our favorite spots for couples photos in Houston. The downtown skyline framed the couple perfectly, while the green spaces and winding paths gave us all the variety we could want. It’s rare to find a place where city and nature collide so beautifully, but Houston totally delivers. We ended the session near Lost Lake, which was calm, glowy, and unbelievably romantic. The reflection of the trees in the water, the soft golden hour light—it all felt like a fairytale. These are the moments we live for as Houston wedding photographers.
