An Intimate Celebration After a Long Wait
This beautiful micro wedding in Brenham, Texas was a celebration that took a little longer to happen. The couple originally planned their wedding before COVID, but like so many others, their plans had to be postponed. When celebrations became possible again, they decided to keep things intimate and exchange their vows surrounded by the people closest to them at Grace Lutheran Church. We started with the bridal preparations and captured some elegant portraits of the bride before the ceremony. Once she was ready, we headed outside for the first look, giving the couple a quiet moment together before walking down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt, with an intimate atmosphere that made every moment feel especially meaningful. After the vows, we took some portraits around the church before heading into downtown Brenham for a little adventure.
Exploring Historic Downtown Brenham
Before the wedding day, we had done some location scouting around downtown Brenham, so we already had a few favorite spots picked out for their newlywed portraits. We explored the charming streets, stopping at colorful murals and historic buildings throughout the area. Downtown Brenham is part of a historic National Register District established in 1844, and its architecture and character gave the portraits a completely different feel from the church. We loved wandering through the streets with the newlyweds, finding beautiful corners, interesting textures, and the perfect light along the way. The combination of their classic wedding style and the character of historic Brenham made for a gallery that felt both timeless and personal.
After having their original wedding plans interrupted by COVID, seeing these two finally get to celebrate their marriage in their own way made this day especially meaningful. Sometimes a smaller celebration ends up feeling even more personal, and this one was truly worth the wait.
