Portrait Session at the Menil Collection and Hotel Icon
Some wedding days are just magic from beginning to end—and this Houston elopement was exactly that. We started the day with a portrait session at the Menil Collection, one of our favorite spots for its calm energy and beautiful architecture. The couple looked amazing, and we had so much fun capturing sweet moments under the live oaks, in front of the museum building, and by the Rothko Chapel. After a short break, we met again at Hotel Icon for a few more photos. The historic charm of the space added such a cool vibe to their gallery—timeless and stylish all at once.
Ceremony at Live Oak Friends Meeting House and Celebration at Rainbow Lodge
The ceremony took place at the Live Oak Friends Meeting House, a serene Quaker space featuring the stunning Skyspace installation by James Turrell. It was quiet, intentional, and incredibly moving—perfect for an elopement that focused on connection and presence. To end the day, we headed to Rainbow Lodge for a cozy dinner with close family. The couple cut their cake (which the groom decorated himself!), shared stories and toasts, and truly soaked in the joy of the moment. This Houston restaurant is such a hidden gem for small wedding receptions—warm, rustic, and tucked away in nature.
