A Bold Ceremony in a Historic Houston Venue
Some weddings just get it right—and this one at The Historic Heights Fire Station in Houston was exactly that. From the start, the vibe was unique, stylish, and totally unforgettable. As Houston wedding photographers, we love capturing celebrations that reflect the couple’s true personality—and this wedding did just that. The bride totally turned tradition on its head by rocking a stunning black wedding dress, and let us tell you—it was a moment. She looked absolutely incredible, and it set the tone for a day that celebrated bold choices, love, and creativity. The ceremony was held upstairs at the Fire Station, which is one of our favorite historic wedding venues in Houston. With its mix of rustic charm and city elegance, it created such a cool and romantic backdrop for the couple to say their vows in front of their closest people.
Timeless Portraits and Joyful Reception Moments
After the “I dos,” we stepped outside for portraits. The venue’s gorgeous brick exterior and vintage details made for some amazing wedding photos with a timeless feel. We also snuck in a few vintage-inspired shots with the paper moon photo setup—a total dream for those fun, artsy vibes! The reception was full of laughter, great music, and so much love. Their first dance as newlyweds was super sweet, and the cake cutting was just as fun (and delicious). The night ended with a magical sparkler send-off that lit up the sky and made for some epic final photos.
