A Peaceful, Historic Setting in the Heart of the City
This wedding was such a fun and heartfelt day right by the Downtown Houston! Sam Houston Park is one of those spots that’s full of charm—surrounded by skyscrapers and busy streets, but once you step inside, it feels like a little pocket of calm and history. The couple chose it for their Marine military wedding, and it couldn’t have been a better fit.
Sweet First Looks, Skyline Views & A Bubble-Filled Send-Off
We kicked things off with a sweet first look under a gorgeous live oak tree (cue all the feels), and then wandered around the park for portraits. Between the fountain, Jane Ellen’s tree, and the skyline views, we had so many beautiful spots to shoot. And honestly, these two looked like they just stepped out of a magazine. After the ceremony at the 1891 St. John Church, everyone sat down in the Tea Room for dinner, toasts, and cake—but the send-off might have been our favorite part. The bride changed into the cutest little white mini dress, and guests blew bubbles as the couple made their exit. It was fun, lighthearted, and such a perfect way to end the day.
