Urban Edge Meets Natural Beauty
Dayana and Santiago’s engagement session at The Lost Lake in Buffalo Bayou Park was the perfect blend of elegance, tranquility, and urban charm. This little corner of Houston—the Serenity Pond once a forgotten pond and now beautifully restored—is tucked right in front of the Fiori restaurant, where chandeliers glitter through the windows and modern design meets lush scenery. Dayana wore a stunning silk dress in the softest champagne-gold tone, and it absolutely glowed in the natural light. Against the serene water, with the gentle movement of the trees and reflections dancing off the surface, her look brought such a sense of effortless chic to the shoot. The combination of modern architecture and natural textures at this location made it feel both peaceful and cinematic. We explored the surrounding park, taking portraits near the brutalist-style fountain and under the palm trees. The greenery and concrete gave us a perfect contrast—soft and structured, calm and bold. Every corner of this space added something unique to their gallery. As golden hour approached, we walked a short distance to one of my favorite spots: the bridge with a wide-open view of the downtown Houston skyline. The evening light, the city in the distance, and their connection made for such a perfect way to end the session.
