A Day Full of Unique Moments Across Houston
This wedding is proof that a micro wedding can still be a full-day adventure—and we loved every moment of it! With four unique locations, an amazing group of people, and a couple madly in love, it was such a joy to capture. We started the day at Hotel Icon in downtown Houston. The lighting in this hotel is unreal—soft, romantic, and perfect for those dreamy getting-ready photos. The bride and groom had their first look on the mezzanine, followed by portraits on the grand staircase under the stunning chandelier. Of course, we couldn’t resist a few classic shots in the historic lobby before heading out. Just a block away was the 1910 Harris County Courthouse, where the couple exchanged vows on the iconic staircase. It was an incredibly windy April day—her veil had a life of its own! But honestly, it just added a cinematic flair to their portraits and made the moment even more magical.

Portraits at Menil, Intimate Dinner & Joyful Celebration at Rainbow Lodge
Then came one of our favorite details: a limousine party bus pulling up to take the whole group to the next stop. That’s when we knew—these two knew how to do a micro wedding right! While their guests explored the Menil Collection, the couple and I snuck off for some portraits around the peaceful grounds. The art, architecture, and oak trees at the Menil, Rothko Chapel, and Broken Obelisk made for such a unique and serene setting. Finally, we headed to the Rainbow Lodge, a cozy and elegant restaurant in a historic log cabin. The intimate dinner with their closest friends and family was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and the sweetest wedding cake to wrap up the night. The ambiance, food, and connection made it the perfect way to end a perfect day.
