This micro wedding at Hotel Lucine in Galveston was intimate, stylish, and relaxed in the best way. Sitting right at the edge of the Gulf of Mexico, Hotel Lucine feels like a cozy coastal escape, perfect for couples who want something meaningful without the pressure of a big production. Originally built in the 1960s as the Treasure Isle Motel, the hotel has been thoughtfully redesigned into a boutique space with a cool mid century vibe. Designed by Kartwheel Studio, the property blends weathered textures with fresh color and creates a welcoming, stay-awhile atmosphere from the courtyard to the rooftop.
Courtyard Ceremony and Ocean View Portraits
The ceremony took place in the hotel’s central courtyard, right in front of the pool. Surrounded by their closest family, the couple shared a short and heartfelt ceremony that felt calm, intentional, and deeply personal. After the ceremony and a few family portraits, we took the bride and groom up to the rooftop for portraits with ocean views. The coastal breeze and soft light made it the perfect spot for relaxed, romantic moments together.
Lobby Cocktail Hour and an Intimate Reception Setting
Cocktail hour unfolded in the lobby and felt more like a gathering of close friends than a formal event. There were lots of hugs, laughter, and easy conversations as everyone settled into the celebration. We wrapped up coverage just before the sit down dinner, making sure to capture the gorgeous restaurant space. With emerald green and gold details throughout, it was a stunning setting to end the day and a perfect match for this Galveston micro wedding.
